The wire may have die marks or slight diameter variations and is available in long, continuous lengths. Wire will acquire a slight camber from being spooled, but can be straightened. Rod will have a uniform, centerless ground surface, and diameter. Rod is supplied in straight lengths. Rod length can be longer, but the maximum length may be limited by diameter.
